AIR MALTA

Earlier today, Air Malta announced the appointment of international travel marketing company Discover the World as its trade, sales, and marketing partner for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.

Founded in 1981, Discover the World is now an innovator in the global travel industry as it continuously seeks to help companies grow beyond their own network, resources, or core competencies.

“Discover the World will now drive our sales and marketing efforts and help promote the Maltese Islands in these primary markets,” Air Malta CCO Roy Kinnear said.

“As we restart to gather momentum and increase frequencies to various markets, we are looking forward to work with Discover the World who, through their extensive network and experience, will assist us to promote Air Malta as the airline of choice to the Maltese islands,” Mr Kinnear continued.

Discover the World will thus be responsible for providing Air Malta with extensive field sales services, spearheading its personal-visit sales campaigns, and building on existing trade relationships, amongst other things.

“A fantastic brand servicing an amazing destination is a winning combination,” Discover the World CEO Ian Murray said.

“With our super Air Malta and Discover sales teams, we will maximise all opportunities to help our trade partners and consumers book with ease and confidence,” Mr Murray continued.

As Malta’s tourism industry steadily recovers, Air Malta has once again started operating over 90 return weekly flights to 19 destinations.
